Recipes to Delicious Low-carb Foods
I know that I love seeing my A1C low in a healthy range. I can accomplish that by eating right with a low-carb diet and some exercise. But nothing affects your A1C more than what you put through your mouth. Here are some recipes for some delicious low-carb foods!😁👍
Tzatziki Sauce |
(6 servings)
Ingredients:
2 cups of plain greek (or regular) yogurt
1 cucumber (chopped into cubes)
1 garlic clove (mashed) or 1/2-1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 lime or lemon (squeezed)
1tbsp dill weed
2tbsp olive oil
optional: olives
Instructions:
Just mix all the ingredients together and enjoy as a side/topping!
Homemade Strawberry Yogurt |
(1 serving)
Ingredients:
1 cup of plain greek (or regular) yogurt
1/2-3/4 cups of strawberries (frozen or fresh)
sugar (as much as it pleases your palate) or 2 packets of splenda/truvia
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients in a blender and blend! Serve and enjoy!
Strawberry Smoothie |
(1 serving)
Ingredients:
3/4-1 cup of almond milk/coconut milk (unsweetened)
3/4 cup of frozen strawberries (or fresh--> add 1/2-3/4 cup of ice)
1/4 cup of peanut butter
2 packets truvia/splenda
Instructions:
Mix in a blender. Serve and enjoy!
Egg salad |
Recipe
(2-3 servings)
Ingredients:
about 6 boiled eggs
3-4 tbsp mustard
1-2 tbsp dill weed
Instructions:
Place 6 eggs in a medium sized cooking basin. Let them boil/cook for about 25 minutes. Once done cooking thoroughly, take off of stove and put under cool water. Wait a few minutes and then, start peeling them. Once eggs are peeled put into a bowl and start forking the eggs to have a crumbled texture. Add all ingredients together and mix. Serve and enjoy on a piece of toast if desired.
